Zero waste is a key commitment for MTB. As a recycler, it seems obvious that we should seek to recycle all the waste generated by human activity. Beyond visible waste, in our daily personal or professional lives, digital pollution is a real issue for everyone.
Surfing the Internet pollutes far more than we think. So, to limit our impact, we’ve chosen to put an eco-responsible website online.
Our host, based in Clermont Ferrand, uses a server powered by green electricity to limit its CO2 impact.
We use plug-ins such as WP Rocket to lighten the site: emptying caches, optimising data storage. By managing storage data, plug-ins reduce energy use.
The media files uploaded to our site don’t exceed 2 Mb and a plug-in optimises images and their storage. The videos are published by a streaming system that does not store large files directly on the site.
