Zero Waste is a key commitment for MTB. It seems obvious for a recycler to strive to recover all waste created by human activity. Beyond visible waste, digital pollution is a real challenge in everyone’s home and working lives.
Surfing the web pollutes far more than we think. So, to limit our impact, we have gone for an eco-responsible website.
Our host, based in Clermont Ferrand, uses a server powered by green electricity to limit its CO2 impact.
We use plug-ins such as WP Rocket to lighten the site: emptying caches, optimising data storage. By managing storage data, plug-ins reduce energy use.
The media files uploaded to our site don’t exceed 2 Mb and a plug-in optimises images and their storage. The videos are published by a streaming system that does not store large files directly on the site.
